Boursin Cheese

This flavored fresh cheese is characterized by the lively black pepper that gives it a distinctively spirited taste. Can be addictive!

Boursin is authentic All Natural Gournay Cheese. The story is this one:when Frenchman Francois Boursin first sold his creation, he was asked to classify it for customs purposes. He chose the name 'Gournay', naming his cheese after the small town where he grew up.

Today, every package of Boursin is labeled 'All Natural Gournay Cheese,' the standard of identity for Boursin. For half a century, Boursin has been the delicious choice of savvy hosts and hostesses the world over.

Boursin was created in 1957 by Francois Boursin, a cheesemaker in Normandy, France. His first variety, Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs, was inspired by a long-standing traditional dish:fromage frais (fresh cheese) served with a bowl of fine herbs, allowing each person to create his or her own personally seasoned cheese.

A reflection of the highest quality standards, Boursin's traditional cheeses (Garlic & Fine Herbs and Pepper) are certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.

Boursin's unique foil packaging was designed to keep the cheese fresh, making it easy to unwrap and rewrap. Left in the foil, it makes an attractive presentation on a cheese board. It will enhance your table whether you are entertaining or serving casual meals of bread, cold cuts, fruit, and cheese.
