Also this month, enjoy a special on two great British cheeses in one...Double Gloucester with Stilton for $12.99 per lb.
If French cheeses are more your style, the near-west store now has Pont L'Eveque from Normandy. Pont L'Eveque is similar in style
and texture to Camembert, another great Normandy cheese, but with a slightly more intense and rich flavor. Look for this French classic in the cheese case in a small square box with a reddish cover. For an even more intense experience, try my personal favorite French cheese, Munster Gerome. Far different than the "Meunster" you may be used to buying at the grocery, the original Munster is a very sharp and nutty cheese from the Alsace region of France. Look for it in a paper wrapped wheel and take some home to try.
On the local front: the cheese case here at the west store has an even larger variety of fabulous, raw-milk Kenny's Farmhouse cheeses from western Kentucky including Kenny's "Awe-Brie" a rare, American raw-milk brie, Havarti and the amazing Kentucky Rose.
Also, great news for local cheese lovers; the amazing Fleur De La Terre from Trader's Point Creamery in Zionsville, Indiana is now $16.99. A great cheese is now more affordable than ever! From the West-side beer aisle:
While supplies last, look for Wabash Brewing 6-packs of Hazy Days Wheat at a special $6.99 closeout price.
It's March, that must mean Upland Brewing's Ard Ri is in season. Enjoy this big, Irish imperial red ale before and after St. Pat's day and hope it lasts into April.
Just in time for spring from Two Brother's Brewing in Illinois, Bloomingfoods West is happy to have Ebel's Weiss, a refreshing Hefeweizen in the authentic Bavarian style. Look for the package with the edelweiss flowers on the front.
