Tree of Life Hosts Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event

Did you know? Approximately 18,000 children die a day from hunger and hunger related disease (UNICEF).

Many thanks to the staff and friends of Tree of Life and Bloomingfoods who have completely filled our shifts for this Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event, taking place at Tree of Life on Saturday, August 11, 2012. We will spend a few hours making a difference in the lives of children who desperately need food: our goal is to pack 70,000 meals!

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit faith-based organization whose goal is to eliminate starvation in the lives of children throughout the world. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and the meals are then shipped to nearly 70 countries around the globe.

You can sign up to help as we all work towards the goal of packing 70,000 meals in 2 shifts (9:30am or 12:30pm) at Tree of Life, 225 N Daniels Way, Bloomington.

It’s easy to enlist! Find a team page for the BloomingtonKeHE mobilepack event on the web at fundraising.fmsc.org. Click on BloomingtonKeHE. Become a team member, or make a pledge for the cause in the name of someone else.

Many thanks to Mac McLauchlin, Purchasing Manager at Bloomingfoods, for helping organize our involvement in this event.
