We’re celebrating Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 17th, in a big way this year, outside our West 6th Street store on Madison Street, from 5:30 to 8:30pm.

Madison street will be closed for this event, the better to have a party. Live music from DJ Graham Cracker Crust.

Come on down! You’ll find music, games, arts and crafts, bike related booths (with swag) and—for those age 21 and over—beer from Upland Brewing Company. Proceeds will be donated to the Bloomington Bicycle Club to support local Bike Bike Programs and Advocacy.

In honor of Arbor Day, Friday, April 26, 2013, you are invited to pick up a free small tree at either our West Sixth Street store or at Bloomingfoods East.

Volunteers from Sycamore Land Trust will be on hand from 4pm to 7pm, handing out River Birch and Black Cherry Saplings, along with information about planting and caring for the trees.

They can also tell you more about the work of Sycamore Land Trust, a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the disappearing natural and agricultural landscape of southern Indiana.

We are done accepting pre-orders, but we will have a selection of turkeys available for purchase in our stores. Both pre-order and extra birds are available, first come first serve, beginning Sunday, November 18th.

Our most popular turkey option is from Bowman Landes. These whole, fresh, all natural turkeys are between 10-23+lbs. They are priced at $2.99/lb. When you order, let us know whether you want one that's small or on the larger side.

As a thank you to our member-owners, we have added two extra member discount days, Monday and Tuesday, November 19 and 20. So whether you shop on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday during the week of Thanksgiving, as a member-owner you'll receive a 5% discount.
