Finalists for this award are expected to represent an overall green way of doing business, and also to "shine in their commitment to a sustainable food system."

Catch a FREE Lotus Festival concert at 7pm tonight, Thursday May 16, with Christine Balfa and Balfa Toujours, in the Waldron, Hill, and Buskirk Park (also known as Third Street Park, 331 S. Washington Street).

It's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive today! Who else has a bag of non-perishable food set out by their mailbox?

Let's all join our letter carriers in helping feed hungry Hoosiers and others, through this national drive.

If you happen to miss the drive, bring your non-perishable groceries to our Truckload Sale next weekend, and we'll see that they get to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard Food Pantry.

Have you seen the  WTIU-Create sponsorship spot after “Growing a Greener World?” It shows a reel  type lawn mower and proclaims, “At Fiskars, we believe that all things, even the simplest, can be made better and smarter.” Now the Bloomingfoods Garden Center has proof.

Last year we offered a limited number of Fiskars Momentum lawn mowers. I’ve had mine for two years now, and am still thoroughly delighted with it.
