The Board of Directors will be accepting nomination for the 2023 Annual Bill Krejci Memorial Award Monday, August 14th, through Friday, September 22nd!
Bill Krejci
Bill Krejci was a pivotal figure in the history of Bloomingfoods, devoting many years of service to our co-op in a wide variety of positions. After Bill passed away in a motorcycle accident in 1998, we established this award “…to honor and keep in our minds the contributions of Bill Krejci and to reward those who continue his life’s work by benefiting the goals of Bloomington Cooperative Services.”
Created in 1999, the award honors a Bloomingfoods owner-member, staff member, or past/present director who exemplifies Bill’s spirit of generosity and giving of themselves to better Bloomingfoods and the cooperative way.
In addition to being recognized on plaques in our stores alongside the generous people honored in previous years, the award comes with a $150 donation to a charity chosen by the awardee, and $100 gift. The awards are given at the Annual Meetings every October.

Anyone can nominate someone for this award.
Completed nominations should be returned to Bloomingfoods or emailed to Stacey.g@bloomingfoods.coop no later than Friday, September 22nd, 2023.
