Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) has been a cornerstone of compassionate animal care and community support since 1956. MCHA is a nonprofit dedicated to keeping families together by providing low-cost veterinary care, crisis housing for pets during emergencies, spay/neuter assistance, street outreach for unhoused pets, vaccine clinics, and a pet food pantry. Each year, MCHA distributes 14 tons of pet food to hungry cats and dogs in need. Through outreach programs, education initiatives, and partnerships with local agencies, MCHA works to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them. By reducing barriers to care, MCHA serves thousands of pets annually, ensuring they receive the medical attention, food, and support needed to stay healthy, with their families, and out of shelters.
