This quarter in Gallery B is filled with a unique variety of art made by Bloomington-based artists that share one thing in common: they’re all staff members at Bloomingfoods Co-op Market. Every piece you will see displayed on our Gallery walls has been hand-crafted by some of our talented and creative staff members, and we couldn’t be more excited about being able to help them share their art with the community.
Artists’ StatementS

Dan Lentz, Bloomingfoods deli clerk, and Indiana University Doctor of Music in opera, now channels his powerhouse vocals into his melodic metal band, The Theos Variant. See more about The Theos Variant on Facebook, Instagram, and their website: TheTheosVariant.com
Chaz Kenny incorporates xerox, colored pencil, and time to create her unique bodies of work. Chaz will be giving away her work throughout the show.

Tosh Lewis enjoys taking old magazines and scrap cardboard to make something new and visually interesting.
Jackson Alexander enjoys using illustration to process emotions and visualize the chaos in their head through 2D digital art.
Gallery B’s Staff Exhibit artists draw from the inspiration around them to create their pieces and have learned to express themselves in all sorts of ways. We hope that you will enjoy observing the unique differences between each expression from every individual’s art as much as we enjoy the opportunity to share it with you.

Gallery B inside Bloomingfoods Near West shows local and regional artists that work across diverse mediums. We believe that supporting and collaborating with artists enhances our community while also furthering our cooperative values. Gallery B holds quarterly exhibitions and participate in monthly First Friday gallery walks. We are proud members of the Bloomington Gallery Walk.

Are you an artist who would like to be considered for a future showing? Fill out the application and agree to the guidelines below to get started. Bloomingfoods currently assigns gallery space on a quarterly basis.
In order for your application to be considered, please fill out the form below. If you do not have a portfolio online, please email 10-15 photos of work to info@bloomingfoods.coop. If you have already been a Gallery B artist, you are welcome to reapply after two years. We review submissions quarterly and will respond accordingly.
