Artist Bio:
Caleb Poer is an American artist based in Bloomington, Indiana. His work has been featured in public art displays at prominent venues such as the Indianapolis International Airport, John Waldron Arts Center, and BUTTER 3. In 2022 and 2024, Caleb was honored with the Emerging Artist Grant. Caleb serves on the John Waldron Arts Center’s visual arts committee, and volunteers at the IFell building. As an artist, his work explores desire, beauty, and simplicity.

Artist Statement:
The series visualizes crowded thoughts and an optimistic mind. The flowers and bouquets replace the face to show the ideas and feelings bursting outward. While most of the figures are based on his own body, they’re meant to represent anyone in a hopeful state.
