Mother Hubbard's Cupboard is a community food resource center that works to increase access to healthy food for all in ways that cultivate dignity, agency, and community. From the low-barrier, client-choice food pantry and access to cooking tools and classes, to free seeds and plants and a community garden in which to grow, to examining root causes of food insecurity over a shared meal, everything at MHC is done over the growing, preparing, and sharing of food. With support from the Positive Change Program, MHC will continue the work of building a community where food is accessible, equitable, and just, because access to healthy food is a basic human right.
