Moving here from Europe, I've seen how easy it is to lose touch with real food in the US. I grew up eating simple meals from basic produce. I love that Bloomingfoods fights the trend of over-processed food, and I want to help protect that
-
I shop at Bloomingfoods as a treat to myself. Every trip is a great experience. I've recently promised myself to buy more produce there to keep my health in good shape and support a place that values quality over just making a profit.
-
I volunteer with Ritmos Latinos and the Bloomington Science Cafe. I also serve on the International Cannabinoid Research Society board as a trainee representative. I make sure their voices are heard in meetings, which has taught me how boards work and how to represent a group.
-
As a researcher, I know how to solve complex problems. My work on an international board gave me experience in governance and representing specific ideas to a diverse group of people. I'm ready to use those skills to help our local co-op thrive.
-
I enjoy gardening, cooking, and baking. My life is built around making things from scratch and avoiding processed stuff, which is exactly what the co-op stands for. I value a sustainable, healthy lifestyle that prioritizes real food and quality over convenience.
-
The co-op should be the go-to place for people who want to eat well a nd stay healthy. Its main job is to provide an alternative to big grocery stores a nd processed food by focusing on real produce and keeping the local food community strong and connected.
-
Opportunity: More people are starting to care about where their food comes from. Challenge: It can be hard to keep prices fair while supporting local growers. I think we can find ways to show people that the health benefits are worth the investment.

I bring a unique mix of perspectives as a scientist and someone who has lived in different parts of the world. I am committed to using my experience and enthusiasm to help Bloomingfoods operate well and help people change their lives for the better.
